Back to Vegas

Ben didn't like flying too much. He ended up figuring out that if he covered up his head with his blanket, it didn't last too long.....meaning, he fell asleep.

As usual, Hailey was all smiles.

Why this guy was counting his wads of cash in front of everyone is beyond me. I was surprised the boys weren't ogling it the whole time.

Bowling!

This was Ben's first time bowling. These pictures show how much Ben enjoyed his first shot.

Once he realized that the balls would actually be coming back, he got a little more into it.

The others had a considerably less traumatic time that day.

Nicole & Jared's House in Rexburg

We visited Taylor's sister Nicole and her family in Rexburg, Idaho in June. It was good for the kids and I to have somewhere to go on their track break from school. Nicole's house is beautiful and even has a picture-perfect view of the new Rexburg Temple out their family room window. I should have taken a picture of it. It's amazing how close it actually is to their home.
Obsession with the Nintendo DS's ran high at the Burt's house. We needed to eventually hide them from the kids in order for them to go play outside.
Jordan's new thing is to either make faces at the camera or to try to do something funny to someone else in the picture. Basically the wording on his t-shirt says it all.

Rachel is the Burt's youngest who turned 3 while we were visiting. She is soooo adorable and will pose for the camera whenever she has a chance.

Rachel's party. Notice the google-eyes she and Jordan are giving each other. She is fascinated by Jordan for some reason. Doesn't look like Jordan dislikes it very much either.

Ben got a little bored with the unwrapping of presents, since they weren't balls or cars. His 3rd love.....cheesing it up for the camera.

I love this picture

Skycoaster!!!!!

Even though we don't have actual video or pictures of our ride, I had to show what Taylor, Noah and I all did at Lagoon. The "Skycoaster" was the scariest and most fun on a ride I've ever experienced. I ended up being the one to pull the ripcord. That was a tough job to be in charge of. I would ride it again in a heartbeat.

Ride time

I realize now why my parents didn't go on rides that much when I was a kid. First, there are always certain children that won't go on anything to save their life, so someone has to stay with them. Second, it's sometimes more fun to watch their faces on the ride than to actually go on it yourself.

Ice Cream!

These pictures are self-explanatory. I just thought they were funny.

Ben's First Experience at Lagoon

We had such a blast at Lagoon in June. We went with Taylor's parents, as well as his sister's family. I really wish I was able to get Ben on some sort of ride. He always showed excitement to go on a ride, but once we got to the front of the line he chickened out. These pictures show how he looked most of the day.

I finally forced him to go on the carousel with me. I figured that wouldn't be too scary for him. Guess I was wrong. He tensed up and held on to me tightly the entire ride. Each time around,Taylor tried to get a good shot of him. The first picture shows how thrilled he was on it. Only when we were done did Ben show a smile.
